App Data files are files used by LED Wizard 8. Most of these are required and some are optional, and only created when needed. You might encounter software glitches in which a reset of the data files solves it. You can reset the system to the factory default state by pressing the Reset to Factory State button in the General tab of Options.
Here's a breakdown of these folders:
System > Cache
Temporary files created to speed up operation.
System > Color
Files related to color management.
System > Excel
Files related to supporting Excel integration, including which cells are injected with LED layout data.
System > Fonts
This folder contains the classic Sign Wizard fonts.
System > IO
This folder contains files related to importing and exporting files.
System > LEDDB
This folder contains the LED database as downloaded from the online LED database, which is constantly updated to contain the latest modules. Each support brand's drawing files are in a sub folder. If any drawings are missing, they will be automatically downloaded on the next launch.
System > lex
This folder contains files related to spell checking.
System > LWOFonts
This folder contains special fonts originally designed for the LED Wizard Online system, which have predesigned center paths for perfect populations every time.
System > Misc
This folder contains miscellaneous data files.
System > ps
This folder contains data files for importing Postscript-based files such as AI and PDF.
System > Sidelight
This folder contains data related to supporting sidelight modules.
System > Text
This folder contains data related to text supporting and translations.
System > TitleBlocks
This folder contains title block template files, which are used with the Merge button on the Powerflow tab.
System > tmp
Temporary data files.
User > Icons
This folder contains the files that define what icons are in the Toolbox.
User > ObjectLibrary
This folder contains files for the Object Library. See Objects Tab.
User > Population Library
This folder contains files for Population Library. See Population Library.
User > Options.dat
This file contains settings used by the software. Many of these can be configured from the Options dialog box.
User -> RecentFiles.xml
This contains the recent files you have opened.
User -> olsort.dat
This contains remembered sort options for the Object Library. See Objects Tab.
