8.17.6 Weld

The Weld command will combine overlapping paths so that no overlaps occur in the vector graphic paths.

In the example below, the top text is the original overlapping graphics and the bottom graphic is the result using Weld.

You may consider using Weld when you Import a graphic with overlapping sections. Note that in some cases you have to turn off the Colors (Show Colors icon or F3) to see that the underlying vectors overlap.
