4.2 Module Filtering

With the expansion of LED supplier product lines comes increasingly large lists of modules to choose from when you make a population. To help in selecting the right module, LED Wizard 8 now includes three distinct filters that will sift the modules down to the right one.

In the PowerFlow property bar, there are new drop down lists as follows:

Series

A module series is a set of modules that share most properties, but differ in color or color temperature.

Color

This can be a specific color, such as Red or Blue, or it can be a white color temperature, such as 6500K or 5000K.

Depth

This is a specific list of depth values, in one inch or 25mm increments.

You may use none, any, or all three of these filtering lists in determining which module to use. If you don't select anything from a list, then it defaults to All, which is no filtering on that metric. Not selecting any filtering at all will result in the entire list of modules from the selected brand.

It is possible to select values that result in no modules in the filtered list. In this case, go back and change the values or select a different brand. Most often this will be the result of a Can Depth being out of range for that module series.
