LED Wizard 8 adds two new power supply loading options:
One Power Supply per Letter with Auto PS
This improves on the basic One Power Supply per Letter option by automatically selecting the best power supply for each letter. You no longer have to select a single power supply for all the letters.
For example, let's say you have a large letter set of "POWER" with self contained drivers. It turns out that all letters fit on a standard Class 2 60W drivers except the "W", which will require a larger driver. This new loading option will automatically select the next largest driver for the "W" and the 60W driver for the rest of the letters.
Optimal Power Supplies by Modules
This represents the smallest granularity of power supply loading - all the way down to the individual module. In this auto power supply mode, each power supply will load to the maximum, as defined by each LED supplier, breaking an LED run if necessary. The maximum load can be all the way to 100%, but more commonly it is 80-95% of the stated wattage capacity.
Note that for channel letters, this will mean that a run of LEDs can be broken anywhere, and you'll likely have letters split between two or more drivers. For cabinets and cloud signs, this will likely be more efficient than only loading entire runs using Optimal by Run.
